SYSDZ Launcher is made by SYSCLI. This page explains what the launcher, the SYSDZ service at api.syscl.ru, the SYSCLI Discord bot and this website send and keep. There is no account, no advertising and no tracking.
The launcher
- Server list. The launcher asks the SYSDZ service for the DayZ server list, for searches you type, for direct connect lookups and for update information. These requests carry no account or player ID. Like any website, the service sees your IP address.
- Game servers. To show ping, players and mods, the launcher asks each server directly, as every DayZ launcher does. Those servers see your IP address.
- Steam. The launcher uses the Steam client on your PC to check that your account owns DayZ and its DLC, and to download Workshop mods. This stays between your PC and Steam.
- Discord status. If Discord is running, the launcher shows the server you play on in your Discord status. This goes to the Discord app on your PC. You can turn it off in Settings.
- Settings and log. Your settings, favourites and a log file are kept on your PC in %APPDATA%\SYSDZ Launcher. They are not sent anywhere unless you send a bug report with the log attached.
Bug reports
A bug report is sent only when you press Send in Report a bug. It contains:
- what you wrote, and the Discord name you entered, if any
- the launcher version
- the end of the launcher log, if the box is ticked. Before it is sent, your Windows user name, your user folder path and your in-game name are removed from it.
The report is posted in #bug-reports on the SYSCLI Discord, where members of that server can read it. To limit spam, the service keeps your IP address for up to one hour and a fingerprint of the report text for up to one day. Ask in the Discord or email us to have a report removed.
The Discord bot
In the SYSCLI Discord, the bot stores what it needs to run tickets and requests: ticket numbers and who opened them. When a ticket is closed, a copy of its messages is kept in a staff-only channel. Forms such as sponsored spot requests are posted in a staff-only channel.
This website
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Your dark or light choice is saved in your browser. The live server list on the front page is read from the SYSDZ service, in the same way as the launcher reads it; what you search or filter there stays in your browser.
Hosting
The SYSDZ service, the bot and this site run on Cloudflare. Cloudflare keeps standard request logs for a short time to run and protect them. Nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
